Fukuoka recorded another day of extreme heat, with temperatures surpassing 40 °C for a record tenth consecutive day, according to the weather agency.
The Japan Meteorological Agency reported that the southwestern city of Fukuoka experienced yet another sweltering day, marking a tenth straight day with temperatures over 40 °C. In Hakata Ward, the mercury rose to 40.4 °C. A broad high-pressure system and humid air from a nearby typhoon are driving the intense heat across much of Japan.
