Funeral service set for Mark Glover after Co Down trench collapse

A workplace accident on the Ballygowan Road in Crossnacreevy, Co Down, claimed the lives of Mark Glover, 38, and Joseph Hobbs, 23, after a trench collapsed. Glover's funeral service is scheduled for October 9 at 10 am in Gilmore’s Funeral Church, with cremation to follow at Roselawn Crematorium. Hobbs' funeral has not yet been scheduled, with plans to be arranged later in Scotland.
Both families have received tributes on social media, highlighting the loss of fathers, sons, and brothers. A community fundraiser set up by a friend has raised more than £15,000 of a £16,000 target to assist with funeral expenses. Police confirmed the deaths are not being treated as suspicious while investigations continue with the Health and Safety Executive.
