Galil Importing Corp. has pulled its Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning after testing revealed high lead content, prompting a consumer warning.
A sample of Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning from Galil Importing Corp. tested positive for elevated lead, leading the company to issue a recall. The product was sold in stores across six states—New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, and Illinois—from November 2025 through September 2026. The FDA cautioned that long-term lead exposure can cause lasting damage to children’s central nervous systems. No illnesses have been reported, and consumers are advised to discard or return the item for a refund.
