Gallup poll shows historic low approval for US Supreme Court
A new Gallup poll finds only about one-third of American adults approve of the Supreme Court’s performance, matching a record low from July.
The latest Gallup survey indicates that 34% of US adults approve of the Supreme Court’s work, the same low level recorded in July and the lowest in the poll’s five-decade history. Approval of the Court’s ideological stance is also at a historic low, with 35% saying it is "about right" and 43% viewing it as too conservative. Trust in the federal judiciary has fallen, with only 46% expressing a great-or-fair amount of confidence, driven largely by Democrats and independents.
