Gang rivalry over a woman ends in fatal stabbing on Nagpur street
A dispute between two gang members over a shared lover turned violent in Nagpur, culminating in one of them being fatally stabbed after a prolonged fight.
In Nagpur, a bitter rivalry between two gangsters over a common girlfriend erupted into a deadly encounter on Thursday. Gaurav Ragde, recently released on bail in a honey-trap dacoity case, stormed a rented liquor room where his rival Gaurav Raut was present with the woman. After a thirty-minute struggle involving punches and grapples, Raut wrested a knife from Ragde's belt and stabbed him repeatedly in the chest.
Ragde's body was discovered in a pool of blood near the Narendra Nagar underpass, and Raut was apprehended with the weapon. Police from Ajni and Beltarodi jurisdictions are handling the murder case, which adds to a spate of 18 killings in less than two months since the appointment of Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangre Patil.
