Gangster Vinod Panu killed in shooting outside Hisar court, attacker arrested
Vinod Panu was shot dead and two others injured in a gunfight outside the Hisar court, and police captured one suspect at the scene.
A shooting erupted in the parking lot of the Hisar court on Thursday, with approximately 14 bullets fired, resulting in the death of gangster Vinod Panu and injuries to two bystanders. The attack occurred shortly after police received a report at about 2.50 pm, just as Panu was due to appear before the court. Siddharth Jain, the senior police officer, confirmed that one suspect was apprehended on site and a firearm was recovered.
Authorities noted that Panu had roughly 32 pending criminal cases, many involving murder. Forensic experts have collected evidence and are conducting ballistic tests, while five to six dedicated police teams are investigating the shooting and any possible accomplices. The probe remains ongoing, with further details to be released as it progresses.
