Garage and parking space prices surge across Czech cities, Valuo analysis shows
A Valuo.cz analysis finds median garage prices rising in most major Czech cities, with Brno leading the market and Prague seeing a decline.
According to a September analysis by Valuo.cz, median garage prices climbed in nearly all of the Czech Republic’s major cities, with only Prague experiencing a drop. Brno tops the list with the highest median garage cost, while the next most expensive market is České Budějovice. Ostrava offers the lowest median price for garages, and Olomouc records the priciest parking stalls.
Radek Šitera, a board member of Valuo, notes that persistent parking shortages keep demand strong and supply tight, pushing prices upward even in areas that previously saw modest growth. The study also highlights that parking stalls rose in price in most cities, with notable increases in Karlovy Vary and Ostrava, while Prague’s stalls rose despite a fall in garage prices. Šitera adds that the rise of electric vehicles will further boost demand for owned parking spaces equipped for charging.
