Garda seize functional pipe bomb and armed weapons during Drogheda search

The find was made by a garda divisional drugs unit, with assistance from local officers, the armed support unit and dog units from both local and national services. A Defence Forces explosive ordnance disposal team was called to the scene and successfully neutralised the explosive device.

Authorities have not made any arrests related to the seizure. The recovered firearms and ammunition are slated for ballistic and forensic analysis. A garda spokesperson confirmed that the investigation is still active.
