Gary Glitter denies eight historic sexual offence charges in London court
Former glam-rock singer Paul Gadd, known as Gary Glitter, pleaded not guilty to eight historic sexual offences involving a girl aged eight to eleven, appearing by video link in a London court.
At Southwark Crown Court, the 82-year-old former pop star entered a not-guilty plea to four counts of indecent assault, two of indecency with a child and two of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 13. Prosecutors allege the abuse occurred between 1978 and 1981 at his Kensington home when the victim was eight to eleven years old. Gadd appeared via video from prison and remains remanded in custody pending a trial next year.
