Gaza death toll rises to 73,914 as four more Palestinians are killed

Gaza's health ministry announced that Israeli strikes in the territory killed four Palestinians and injured 17 people in the last 24 hours. Among the deceased, one died from wounds sustained earlier, and three were retrieved from rubble of destroyed buildings. The cumulative death toll since the 7 October 2023 attacks now stands at 73,914, with 174,952 reported injuries.

Since the ceasefire began in October, the ministry has recorded 1,394 deaths, of which 834 bodies have been recovered. Thousands remain buried under debris because the Israeli blockade prevents the entry of heavy rescue equipment. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed that air strikes continue to cause casualties and that shortages of medical supplies and limited humanitarian access are straining Gaza's health system.
