Gaza journalists face severe injuries and lack of medical care, 40 need evacuation

The Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate warned that reporters and media staff in Gaza are confronting extreme danger due to continuous shelling, population displacement and a deteriorating humanitarian situation. The breakdown of major health facilities and shortages of medicines have left injured journalists without adequate treatment. The syndicate's statement, cited by WAFA, notes dozens of severe cases requiring surgery, neurological care, limb treatment or chronic disease management.

Currently, 40 journalists are identified as needing evacuation to receive proper medical attention abroad. It stressed that postponements or denial of such care could further endanger their lives and constitute a pressing human-rights issue.
