Gaza's Kuwait Specialty Hospital Limits Services to Emergency Amid Fuel Cutoff

Kuwait Specialty Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, declared on Sunday that it will suspend operations in every department apart from the emergency ward due to a halt in fuel deliveries. The statement said the lack of fuel makes it impossible to keep the facility running and cautioned that the crisis could deprive thousands of residents of daily medical treatment. This development follows a tightened Israeli blockade and widespread attacks that have crippled Gaza's infrastructure and health system.

Since the conflict began in October 2023, more than 73,000 people have been killed and over 174,000 injured, with roughly 90% of the enclave's infrastructure destroyed. The hospital's limited capacity underscores the growing humanitarian emergency in the region.
