Gazan students sue Irish justice minister over denied study visas

One student was rescued to Spain after the Spanish government intervened; he is now in a foundation program in Madrid but still wishes to enroll in a funded engineering course at Trinity College Dublin. The legal team warned that the normal appeals process could take a year or more, effectively denying the students any timely remedy. The minister’s counsel requested a postponement until all necessary papers are filed, and the judge set a further mention for Thursday to determine the State’s response time and schedule a hearing.
