Genesys Works launches paid summer program to ready Gen Z for corporate jobs
Genesys Works offers an eight-week paid summer course that teaches underserved high-school seniors essential workplace and AI skills before they start paid internships.
Since 2002, Genesys Works has helped more than 14,000 underserved high-schoolers enter the workforce, and in 2025 alone placed 2,161 teens in paid internships. Before those internships, the organization runs an eight-week summer boot camp that covers resume building, LinkedIn profiles, mock interviews, office etiquette, and critical thinking. A distinctive element is instruction on AI, including fact-checking, data security and prompt engineering for business efficiency.
Partner companies—including Accenture, JPMorgan, and Mayo Clinic—receive interns who already possess these core skills. Graduates earn an average $67,000 annually, compared with a $56,153 starting salary for peers, and many surpass parental earnings or buy homes. The program also responds to hiring needs in healthcare, construction back-office roles, and emerging data-center jobs.
