Georgia man charged with burglary at NASCAR champion Greg Biffle's home
Terrell Williams of Stone Mountain, Georgia, has been indicted for the break-in at former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle’s residence, authorities said.
Sheriff Darren Campbell disclosed that Terrell Williams, a resident of Stone Mountain, Georgia, has been charged in connection with the burglary of NASCAR driver Greg Biffle’s home in Iredell County. The theft took place shortly after a December plane crash that claimed the lives of Biffle, his wife Cristina and their two children, as well as three other passengers. Investigators recovered $30,000 in cash, firearms, jewelry and a radio-frequency detector believed to have been used to locate security equipment inside the house.
Surveillance footage captured an unknown individual entering the property, but officials have not confirmed that the person is Williams. The break in the case came when Cobb County detectives, investigating a separate burglary, learned that Williams had stolen items from Biffle’s home and used the proceeds to purchase a car, which was later seized. Additional recovered items included an officer’s firearm stolen three years earlier and other goods tied to western North Carolina. Williams remains jailed without bond in Cobb County and faces multiple felony charges, while a broader fraud investigation continues with a person of interest still at large.
