Georgia Tech partners with Veritiv as inaugural football jersey patch sponsor
Georgia Tech athletics has signed a multi-year deal with Atlanta-based Veritiv, making it the first jersey patch sponsor in the program’s history and its official sustainability partner.
Georgia Tech athletics announced a multi-year partnership with Veritiv, marking the first time a corporate logo will appear on a Georgia Tech football jersey and designating Veritiv as the official sustainability partner for the university’s one outlet department. Under the deal, Veritiv will work with student-athletes on name, image and likeness initiatives while pursuing three sustainability goals: cutting waste and promoting circularity, making purchasing more eco-friendly, and using data and innovation to boost resource efficiency.
The arrangement follows new NCAA rules that permitted jersey patch sponsorships beginning on Aug. 1. The Yellow Jackets will debut the Veritiv patch in their season-opening game against Colorado at Bobby Dodd Stadium, with the matchup set for 8 p.m. and broadcast nationally on one outlet. Georgia Tech indicated that additional jersey-patch partnerships for other sports will be announced in the coming months.
