German authorities warn that a British citizen with close Hamas ties may have planned a Europe attack
German police say a man who holds British citizenship and was closely linked to Hamas leadership was allowed to live in England and may have prepared a terror plot in Europe.
The senior German prosecutor Jens Rommel expressed concern that Hamas could carry out attacks on European soil. He highlighted a case involving a British citizen who maintained extremely close contacts with Hamas’s top echelon. Despite these ties, the individual was permitted to reside in England. German officials allege that foreign Hamas agents obtain and smuggle weapons to facilitate such operations.
