Getty heir William Paul Getty buys $20 million Highland Park mansion as Dallas office plans unfold

William Paul Getty, grandson of oil magnate J. Paul Getty, and his wife Vanessa have secured a sprawling estate in Highland Park, Dallas, for just under $20 million, according to deed records. The 11,400-square-foot Mediterranean residence includes seven bedrooms, nine-and-a-half baths, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, media theater, game room, five-car garage and a pool with water features. A Getty spokesperson confirmed that Billy is establishing a Dallas office and expects to spend considerable time there, while the family still holds homes in San Francisco and Hawaii.

The former owners, José Roberto Quiroz Mata and María Isabel Mata Torrallardona, are board members of Dallas-based Grupo Bimbo Bakeries. This acquisition follows recent sales by other Getty family members, including Gordon Getty’s Berkeley mansion and Aileen Getty’s Malibu home, underscoring the family’s ongoing real-estate activity.
