Giants cut ties with Odell Beckham Jr. after three games and no receptions

The New York Giants have decided to part ways with veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. after a brief three-game tenure that yielded zero catches. An insider, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed the release before any official announcement. Beckham was thrown at only once, on a deep pass from Jameis Winston in the first quarter, and spent merely six snaps on the field during the team's 12-7 win.

Coach John Harbaugh had earlier hinted that Sunday against Tennessee would be an ideal moment for Beckham to contribute more heavily. Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy explained that the coaching staff was still searching for scenarios to involve Beckham, noting that a single injury could have made him a regular target. The roster move comes as the Giants also added quarterback J.J. McCarthy and released Jake Haener, intending to re-sign the latter to the practice squad.
