Ginatilan bans livestock movement after ASF confirmed in two barangays
The Municipality of Ginatilan ordered a halt to livestock transport and trade after laboratory tests verified African swine fever in Barangays Cagsing and Calabawan.
Mayor Roy Vincent Singco issued an executive order on Sept. 19, 2026, prohibiting the movement and sale of livestock following confirmation by the Department of Agriculture’s 7 Regional Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory that African swine fever is present in two barangays. The restriction is intended to keep the disease confined, stop it reaching other areas, and block animals from high-risk zones. All local animal transport and commercial trade are now suspended.
