In Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, a 9-year-old girl was reportedly raped after an acquaintance offered her and her 11-year-old brother a ride home from school. The man initially headed toward fields near a canal but changed course upon seeing cattle herders, steering the motorcycle into a cluster of bushes behind the school where the crime occurred. When the brother tried to intervene, he was beaten and both children were left at the spot.
The girl was found unconscious and later taken to a local hospital for emergency care, while the brother reached home and raised the alarm. Authorities registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and have deployed special teams to locate the fleeing suspect.
