Girl Scouts adds dog-friendly cookie and allergy-safe treat to 2027 lineup

Girl Scouts disclosed plans to expand its cookie roster for the 2027 season with two novel items. Patch Pals, a soft-baked, blueberry-muffin flavored treat, was co-developed with the pet snack brand Bark and is intended for dogs. The second addition, Sparkables, is a crunchy oatmeal cookie featuring chocolate chips and sprinkles, produced in a facility that eliminates nine common allergens in partnership with the allergy-friendly brand Partake.

Both cookies will become available for purchase on January 12, while traditional favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas, and Tagalongs continue to be offered. The initiative was inspired by scouts across the country who advocated for a broader, more inclusive product range. Earlier in the year, a six-year-old girl from Pennsylvania set a sales record by moving over 100,000 boxes, highlighting the program’s growing popularity.
