Glasnow's strong rehab outing hints at a quick return to Dodgers rotation

He fanned 11 of the 13 hitters he faced, posting a 41% whiff rate and a 34% called-strike-whiff percentage on 67 pitches. This outing marked a clear upgrade from his initial Triple-A rehab effort, which saw him surrender one run over 2.2 innings.

The Dodgers view the result as encouraging, particularly as Shohei Ohtani also returned to bullpen duty after nearly a month without pitching. Since landing on the injured list with lower-back spasms in May, Glasnow has dealt with a history of injuries, including a right elbow sprain that cost him the 2024 postseason and shoulder inflammation in 2025. He has logged a 2.72 ERA with 49 strikeouts in 39.2 innings this season and is likely to pitch another rehab game before the club activates him.
