Glastonbury chief Emily Eavis denies Madonna will headline 2027 festival

Emily Eavis told one outlet Radio 4’s PM programme that Glastonbury’s 2027 headliners are confirmed and explicitly denied that Madonna will headline the festival. She added that three other headliners are already in place and expressed excitement about the upcoming line-up. When asked about the possibility of Taylor Swift performing, Eavis laughed and declined to provide more information.

The speculation about Madonna started after she suggested a big UK show in June, but Eavis noted that most Glastonbury rumours are false. During the interview, she also appealed to new Prime Minister Andy Burnham for stronger support of arts education and struggling music venues. The Department for Culture, Media and Sport reiterated its commitment to aid the cultural sector amid financial challenges. Glastonbury will return in June 2027 after a fallow year, with tickets slated for a November release.
