Global Tipping Points Conference issues declaration with concrete planetary health actions

The Global Tipping Points Conference 2026 in Kuala Lumpur concluded with a declaration outlining actionable steps for planetary health and sustainability.

The Global Tipping Points Conference 2026 wrapped up in Kuala Lumpur with a formal declaration that lists practical actions for improving planetary health and sustainability. Over four days at Sunway University, participants held numerous plenary sessions and workshops, bringing together international experts and industry representatives. Sunway Education Group chief executive Elizabeth Lee said the declaration marks a shift from dialogue to concrete steps that each country can adopt.

She cited Sunway Group founder Tan Sri Sir Jeffrey Cheah’s transformation of Sunway City as a model of sustainable urban development. The conference aligns its goals with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Centre for Planetary Health, aiming to embed sustainability into everyday practices and encourage Malaysia to assume a leadership role regionally and globally.
