Gold Coast resident charged after posting Nazi and extremist content online

A 49-year-old man from the Gold Coast was charged for sharing Nazi symbols and extremist material on social media, with a court date set for November 16.

Federal Police searched the man's home in Mudgeeraba, confiscating his mobile phone as part of an investigation that began in June after a social-media account was found posting Nazi imagery and racist, white-supremacist, nationalist and anti-LGBTQIA+ messages. He received a notice to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on November 16 and faces a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment.
