Google Cloud partners with Accenture to launch AI deployment unit

Google Cloud announced a collaboration with Accenture to form the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group, a dedicated unit that will train up to 1,000 Accenture forward-deployed engineers. These engineers will work directly with corporate clients to design and implement bespoke AI solutions using Google’s Gemini Enterprise platform. The initiative reflects a broader industry push, as competitors including OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft and Amazon have each launched their own FDE teams to capture a growing AI services market.

Google Cloud’s recent quarterly revenue of $24.8 billion was heavily supported by enterprise AI, yet the company’s overall AI spend share in the U.S. remains around 6 %, far behind Anthropic and OpenAI. Earlier this year, Google pledged $750 million to embed its own engineers across firms such as Capgemini, Cognizant and Deloitte, and signed a multi-year deal with CVC Capital Partners. By expanding its FDE model through Accenture, Google hopes to alleviate deployment bottlenecks and accelerate demand for its AI offerings.
