Google introduces family-focused AI assistant called CC for shared planning
Google has rolled out a revamped AI service named CC that lets up to six family members coordinate calendars, tasks and simple paperwork.
Google's updated CC service is an experimental AI assistant designed for household organization, supporting a maximum of six participants per account. Each member decides which messages to forward to the agent, either individually or by designating specific senders, and the tool builds a shared calendar and to-do list visible to all. A daily briefing summarises imminent appointments and tasks, and the assistant can draft paperwork, register for services or compile shopping lists, always seeking user approval before acting.
The feature can be accessed through a dedicated Google Chat window or by adding CC to a Drive folder, and privacy safeguards prevent it from altering family membership or scanning personal inboxes. Existing users will be prompted to upgrade, while new users must join a waitlist to try the service.
