Google launches beta "Call for Me" feature on Pixel 11 phones
Google introduced an experimental beta called Call for Me that lets Gemini place phone calls on behalf of Pixel 11 users in the United States.
Google unveiled Call for Me, an experimental beta that allows Gemini to make phone calls for Pixel 11 users in the US who have a Gemini subscription and are enrolled in the Phone by Google app’s public beta. The AI can contact businesses, request information, schedule appointments and handle interactive voice menus, even waiting on hold when needed. A live transcript appears on the device, and users may take control at any point.
The feature excludes emergency services but accepts user-supplied numbers for less-visible contacts. Gemini uses the same voice as its live interactions, regardless of the user’s chosen accent. Google says the test will help improve performance across accents and noisy environments.
