Google's Android update adds AI-driven item finder and motion-sickness aid

Google's monthly Android feature drop adds Motion Assist, a visual aid that displays moving dots to reduce motion-induced discomfort, similar to Apple's Motion Cues. The Find Hub upgrade lets users ask Gemini to store the location of infrequently used items—such as a passport—along with a photo, enabling later retrieval via a remembered-items tab without needing a tracker. Guided Vision, accessed through Gemini Live, employs the phone's camera to read small text on labels or locate particular ingredients, providing voice feedback if the framing is off.

Additional updates include customizable chat themes for Google Messages and the ability for every chat participant to create and edit Google Keep notes, facilitating collaborative lists. The suite is available on devices running Android 16 or later where Gemini and Find Hub are supported.
