Google's Pixel 11 Pro Fold Gains Ground with lighter build and upgraded Tensor G6

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold arrives in India with a lighter chassis, improved cameras and the new Tensor G6, but faces stiff competition from Samsung, Vivo and the upcoming Apple iPhone Duo.

Google introduced the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in the Indian market, emphasizing a slimmer, lighter design that retains the familiar book-style foldable form while achieving an IP68 water and dust rating, surpassing Samsung's IP48 and Vivo's upcoming IP58/59 standards. The handset trims 19 grams and a few millimetres from its footprint, and its 8-inch internal display is brighter with higher peak luminance, complemented by a marginally larger cover screen.

Camera upgrades include a 48-megapixel primary sensor and refined 10.8-megapixel telephoto and 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide lenses, delivering more detailed and natural-looking photos. Under the hood sits the Tensor G6 processor with 16 GB of memory, delivering flagship-level speed but encountering earlier thermal throttling during prolonged gaming sessions. Battery capacity yields about three hours of use on the main display and 2.5 hours on the cover screen, with charging improved to 25-watt wireless (Qi 2) and 30-watt wired. Google bundles a six-month AI Pro subscription, after which users must choose between monthly AI Plus or AI Pro plans to retain full Gemini functionality.
