Google unveils Pixel 11 with 30-hour battery and slimmer camera bar

Google launched its next-generation Pixel 11 smartphone, equipped with the new Tensor G6 chip that delivers up to 20 percent better power efficiency than the prior generation. The processor, together with the Adaptive Battery system, enables the handset to provide more than 30 hours of runtime based on individual usage patterns. Visually, the device features a slimmer camera bar that contains a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens capable of 5× optical zoom, making it the second non-Pro model with a telephoto lens.

Video capture supports 4K at 24, 30 or 60 fps, and Google's Super Res Zoom AI can produce up to 30× zoom. The front-facing camera is a 10.5-megapixel unit also capable of 4K video. The phone sports a 6.3-inch OLED screen with a 1,080 × 2,424 resolution, refresh rates from 60 to 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Pre-orders begin today, with shipments slated for August 20, and pricing starts at $899 for a 256 GB model with 12 GB RAM.
