Google unveils Pokémon-themed Fitbit Air for September release

Google announced a limited-edition Pokémon Sleep Fitbit Air in a blue color with a sleeping Pikachu design, slated to ship on September 15.

Google is launching a special Pokémon Sleep edition of its Fitbit Air, featuring a pastel blue finish and a sleeping Pikachu illustration. Apart from the cosmetic changes, the device functions like the regular Fitbit Air, offering a light, all-day wear experience. Users can connect the watch to the Pokémon Sleep app through Health Connect on Android, enabling automatic transfer of sleep metrics that populate a roster of Pokémon around Snorlax.

The smartwatch becomes available for preorder on the Google Store and at Target, with shipments scheduled to start on September 15. Each purchase also bundles three months of Google Health Premium, formerly Fitbit Premium, which provides access to a Gemini-powered health coaching service.

Why it matters

Fans of Pokémon and wearable tech get a themed device that links directly to a sleep-tracking app, expanding Google's health ecosystem.
