Government to meet all parliamentary parties on upcoming state budget

The Portuguese government plans to hold meetings with every party holding seats in the Assembly to discuss the 2027 state budget.

A source from the minister of Parliamentary Affairs' office confirmed that the government will convene with all parliamentary parties at the Assembly of the Republic later this month. The talks aim to prepare the budget for the next fiscal year. Chega leader André Ventura said he received a request for such a meeting. The budget must be presented to the Assembly before the statutory deadline, which falls on a Saturday.
