Graffiti calling for Donald Trump's death appears near Austin bridge where ICE shot delivery driver

On a bridge near Anderson Square in Austin, a masked protester sprayed a pillar with anti-ICE and anti-Trump messages, including “Kill Donald Trump” and “F*** ICE.” The graffiti appeared days after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents shot 28-year-old Venezuelan Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, who was delivering food for DoorDash, saying his vehicle sideswiped his car twice before the shooting. Garces Perez’s lawyer, Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch, reported he was taken to a hospital, released into ICE custody with the bullet still inside, and now suffers left-side paralysis.

A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson described him as an illegal alien with a final removal order. Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis announced a thorough investigation, urging the public to submit any evidence. The incident sparked backlash on social media from conservative figures and prompted Democratic lawmakers, including James Talarico and Mayor Kirk Watson, to demand an independent investigation and full video release.
