Graft complaints filed against Villar family over PrimeWater water service failures
Two graft complaints have been lodged against Mark and Camille Villar, their parents Manuel and Cynthia, brother Paolo, and other local water officials for the poor performance of PrimeWater Infrastructure Corporation.
Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano announced that investigators concluded, after about six months of inquiry, that the Villar family are the beneficial owners of PrimeWater. The complaints cover the period from 2015 to 2022 and target the joint-venture arrangements between PrimeWater and several municipal water districts. The allegations focus on the company's failure to provide adequate water supply to the areas it serves.
