Grass fire in Stourbridge forces evacuations, disrupts rail and power

A large grass blaze near Stourbridge damaged several homes, left two people affected by heat and smoke, and prompted emergency crews to intervene.

Firefighters battled a fast-moving grass fire that ignited around Ounty John Lane, Racecourse Lane and Stourbridge Road in central England. Six residences suffered damage and two individuals experienced heat-related symptoms. About 60 firefighters were deployed, while nearby rail lines were temporarily suspended and some homes reported power disruptions. Aerial footage captured multiple houses alight, and the West Midlands Fire Service increased its resources at the scene.
