Kyriakos Pierrakas, Greece's finance minister and Eurogroup chair, presided over a Luxembourg meeting focused on energy market shocks and EU fiscal policy, before joining the ECOFIN council the following day.

Kyriakos Pierrakas, serving as Greece's Minister of Finance and Eurogroup president, led the Eurogroup meeting in Luxembourg, with a primary focus on the repercussions of volatile energy markets for the euro area. Ministers discussed the impact of high energy costs on consumer budgets, corporate competitiveness, and overall fiscal health, while also reviewing the efficiency of public finances. Greece was represented by Deputy Minister Thanos Petralias, and participants examined progress on the Union of Savings and Investments and proposals to deepen European capital markets, including the Market Integration and Supervision Package.
