Grzegorz Braun releases new recordings accusing President's office of rejecting nominees
Grzegorz Braun and fellow KKP members aired fresh tapes in which Braun alleges the President’s Chancellery dismissed the party’s candidate proposals and questioned the presence of controversial figures in advisory councils.
In a set of newly disclosed recordings, Grzegorz Braun, Włodzimierz Skalik and Prof. Jacek Janowski discuss the party’s strained relations with the President’s Chancellery, which Braun says has rejected all of the group’s candidate lists. He recounts a phone call from the Chancellery asking whether controversial personalities, including journalist Marcin Rola and anti-vaccine activist Justyna Socha, should be allowed on advisory bodies.
Braun describes the highest state institutions as merely façade organs serving an occupying authority and claims the party corresponds with a Judenrat instead of the president. The tapes also reference earlier recordings from April that dealt with the Poland-Asia summit and featured Janowski’s warning that Braun was “bringing Indians to Poland.” The KKP’s press office later noted that the material was compiled by a veteran TVP reporter from the Jacek Kurski era.
Why it matters
The tapes reveal internal political tensions and accusations of interference between a fringe party and the presidential office.
