Guimaraes scores winner as Arsenal beat Sunderland to keep flawless league run

Arsenal defeated Sunderland 2-0, with Bruno Guimaraes and Bukayo Saka scoring, preserving their perfect Premier League start.

Arsenal continued their flawless start to the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland. The match saw a early scare when David Raya denied Enzo Le Fee’s penalty, but two minutes later Bruno Guimaraes scored his inaugural goal for Arsenal, having joined from Newcastle. Sunderland’s Reinildo Mandava received a second yellow in stoppage time, and Bukayo Saka secured the win by converting a penalty.

Arsenal made four changes from their Champions League win over Napoli, while Sunderland fielded an unchanged side. The result gave Arsenal their fourth win in as many league games, leaving Sunderland with their second defeat.
