A 56-year-old Gujarati man was fatally shot during a robbery at a liquor store in Jackson, Tennessee, while his 19-year-old daughter was not injured.

On the night of Aug 20, a robbery at Ridgecrest Cellars on Ridgecrest Road in Jackson, Tennessee, turned deadly when the gunman demanded cash and then shot multiple times inside the store. The victim, identified as Suresh Patel, a 56-year-old Gujarati who had recently taken over the business, was pronounced dead at the scene. His 19-year-old daughter, standing next to him, was unharmed, while a 70-year-old employee fell and fractured a wrist during the incident.

Police reported the assailant as a Black male wearing a grey hoodie, jeans, black work boots, and a paintball-style mask, who escaped in a white sedan after taking the money.
