Haaland family exits Nykode Therapeutics after steep share price plunge

Erling Haaland and his father Alfie have sold all their holdings in biotech firm Nykode Therapeutics following a sharp decline in the company's stock price.

In February 2024, Erling Haaland bought a large number of Nykode Therapeutics shares at a price between 17 and 18 kroner. After about a week, he sold half of his position and later handed the rest to his father, Alfie, at a price near three kroner per share. Nykode faced a difficult year, especially after Genentech ended a key collaboration in November 2024, causing the stock to tumble to just a few kroner.

Alfie then sold part of his holdings in March at around four kroner, followed by further sales in August and later in the year at prices just above four kroner. The cumulative effect was a substantial loss for the family, and both father and son are now completely out of the company.
