Haier India announced a ₹7,000 crore investment to establish a manufacturing complex on 250 acres in Satyavedu mandal, Tirupati district, marking its entry into South India. The venture will be executed in two phases—approximately ₹4,500 crore for the first phase, slated to become operational by 2028, and ₹2,500 crore for the second—targeting completion by 2032. The facility aims to create 6,000 direct jobs and spur an additional 15,000 indirect positions.
It will produce a range of products, including air conditioners, washing machines, televisions, air purifiers and kitchen appliances. The site sits within the Tirupati-Chennai-Nellore corridor, adjacent to the Sri City industrial park that hosts firms such as Foxconn, Panasonic, Flex, Daikin and LG Electronics. Strong transport links, including National Highway 16, nearby ports and airports, enhance its export potential.
