Hall of Fame lineman Joe Thomas turns 4,100-acre Wisconsin ranch into premium beef operation
Former NFL tackle Joe Thomas has expanded his Wisconsin property into a 4,100-acre cattle farm that raises Wagyu beef.
Joe Thomas, a former Cleveland Browns offensive tackle, began acquiring land in Wisconsin in 2012, initially purchasing 1,200 acres near Muscoda. Following his 2018 retirement, he lost about 70 pounds and shifted his diet toward real food, which spurred his interest in cattle farming. Inspired by an overseas Wagyu tasting, he expanded his operation to roughly 4,100 acres, now housing hundreds of Wagyu cattle for premium beef production.
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins toured the property, noting Thomas built the farm from a handful of animals rather than a large investment. Thomas later appeared with Rollins at the White House as President Donald Trump signed executive orders supporting American ranchers. He continues to work in Browns broadcasting while managing the farm.
