Hall of Famer Edgerrin James warns of son Jizzle's substance abuse struggles

Hall of Fame running back Edgerrin James used his Instagram Story to reveal that his 21-year-old son, Edgerrin Jr., who plays basketball under the nickname Jizzle, is struggling with substance abuse and is not in the right state of mind. He asked the public to show compassion by offering hugs and encouragement, but to avoid giving money, gifts, or other material items that could enable the problem. James explained that Jizzle transferred from the University of Cincinnati to the University of Charlotte after the former coach Miller left for Charlotte, yet he does not appear on one outlet 49ers roster.
The former NFL star, who lost his longtime partner Andia to leukemia in 2009, ended the post with the lyric "Everything’s Gonna Be Alright" accompanied by Al Green’s song. James, a four-time Pro Bowler and 1999 No. 4 draft pick, highlighted the family's ongoing fight to support his son.
