Hamas says it is liaising with mediators over Israel's intensified Gaza killings

Hamas’ political bureau chief Khalil al-Hayya announced that he has been maintaining close dialogue with mediators regarding the recent escalation of Israeli killings in Gaza, as well as attacks in the occupied West Bank and at Al-Aqsa Mosque. The group said the surge in violence is eroding any chance for calm and shows Israel failing to honor its commitments under the cease-fire arrangement tied to the Trump plan. Al-Hayya wrote to several countries, warning that humanitarian conditions could worsen with winter looming, citing Israel’s blockage of heavy machinery needed to clear rubble and of tents and supplies meant to protect civilians from cold and rain.

Hamas is calling on mediators to push Israel to stop the killings and to permit unrestricted delivery of rescue and shelter equipment into Gaza. The statement underscores the group's concern that continued restrictions jeopardize both civilian safety and the broader cease-fire process.
