Hana Financial posts higher Q3 profit as interest and fee income surge

Hana Financial Group reported a Q3 net profit of 1.22 trillion won, beating analyst forecasts, driven by stronger interest and non-interest earnings.

Hana Financial Group Inc. announced that its third-quarter net profit reached 1.22 trillion won, exceeding market expectations of 1.21 trillion won. Operating profit increased to 1.63 trillion won compared with the previous year, and overall revenue rose sharply to 19.99 trillion won. The rise was powered by a 10.37% increase in interest income, which totaled 7.48 trillion won, and a 29.8% jump in commission income to 2.14 trillion won.

Over the first nine months, the group earned a record 3.62 trillion won in net profit, up 5.56% year-on-year. Hana Bank contributed 1.19 trillion won in net profit, marking a 5.8% rise from the same period last year.
