At approximately 4:30 pm local time, a hand-grenade blast hit the private Shama-e Hidayat school in Kabul’s Dasht-e-Barchi neighbourhood, an area largely populated by the Hazara community. Several students from the Mahdia neighbourhood were wounded and transferred to Alami Hospital, while the total number of injured persons and any fatalities remain unverified. Video footage shows crowds gathering around ambulances near the explosion site.

Reports from Hasht-e Subh Daily, Kabul Now and TOLOnews describe the incident, but Al one outlet could not confirm details and government officials have not commented.
