Hanson argues U.S. Global Position Strengthened Since Biden Inauguration Amid Shifting Alliances

In one outlet's video, senior contributor Victor Davis Hanson warned that Republicans fear midterm losses but argued the international environment has shifted dramatically since the start of the Biden administration, to America’s advantage. He highlighted a de-escalating trade dispute with Canada and a 100-year deal granting U.S. access to billions of barrels of Venezuelan oil. Hanson noted that anti-American regimes in Latin America have largely disappeared, and that Iran’s economy and proxy networks are collapsing under unprecedented sanctions, reducing Middle-East volatility.

He further asserted that Europe’s low-fertility, green-focused policies are being rejected, prompting right-leaning governments in several European nations. Concluding, he said the United States is now stronger militarily, economically and technologically, and that the coming decade will be especially favorable.
