Harry Kane earns Ballon d'Or nomination after record 73-goal season

Kane's tally of 61 goals for Bayern Munich and 12 for England helped his club win the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal and the Three Lions finish third at the World Cup. The nomination puts him ahead of Barcelona's Lamine Yamal and Spain midfielder Rodri in bookmakers' odds. He joins fellow English nominees Jude Bellingham and other Premier League stars such as Erling Haaland and Bruno Fernandes. The award ceremony will be held in London on October 26.

Harry Kane, England's captain, secured a Ballon d'Or nomination following a historic 73-goal season - 61 for Bayern Munich and 12 for the national team. His contributions led Bayern to both the Bundesliga crown and the DFB-Pokal, while England achieved a World Cup third-place finish. Betting markets list Kane as the favorite, with odds of 4/7, ahead of Barcelona's Lamine Yamal and Spain's Rodri.

Other English nominees include Jude Bellingham, alongside Premier League stand-outs like Erling Haaland, Bruno Fernandes and Gabriel. Lionel Messi, a 16-time nominee, also remains in contention. The awards gala is scheduled for Monday, October 26, in London.
